Phi Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®

Picture
In 1998, an Interest Group of 19 women known as the “Fabulous Pearls” was formed. This group of nineteen phenomenal women became the first Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Graduate Chapter to incorporate in Newnan, Georgia. Phi Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on June 10, 2000, to serve both Coweta and Fayette County. Mrs. Cynthia Finney served as the first President of Phi Pi Omega Chapter. In addition, a debt of gratitude is owed to the mentorship of the late Mrs. Juanita Byrd who was instrumental in organizing the group and supporting efforts.

Phi Pi Omega Chapter is in the South Atlantic Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® and sponsors Kappa Tau Undergraduate Chapter at The University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia.
