Programs
The Hedera Foundation partners with Phi Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. to deliver community service programs that support quality of life improvement for the disadvantaged and provide financial assistance to individuals and families in our community, which enhance education, family, health, economic empowerment and the arts.
Academic Excellence
The foundation will continue its focus on education by assisting high school students in reaching their maximum potential through providing guidance and support in completing college applications, offering scholarships, mentorship programs and supporting HBCUs.
Empower Our Families
The foundation will strengthen families within our communities by addressing child hunger and promoting positive youth development and leadership and mental well-being.
Build Our Economic Wealth
The foundation will emphasize financial planning, asset accumulation, and wealth building including savings and investments, managing debt, and improving credit.
Enhance Our Environment
The foundation will optimize our collective ability and to improve and protect the environment. We will prioritize activities that promote the adoption of more sustainable and responsible practices.
Advocate for Social Justice
The foundation will support voter education, registration and mobilization to equip our community with the tools, knowledge, and support to empower communities to help themselves.

The foundation will celebrate excellence, promote a focus on service, and stimulate effective culture and showcase best practices.
